The quiet haven

For sports fans, the Lärkan sports center offers a number of great activities: an indoor aquatics center, the newly built sports hall, football pitches in the summer and ice-skating rinks in the winter. There is also a racket sports arena, bowling alley and cable park, to give just a few examples. When you’re in the mood for a nice lunch out, or maybe when family and friends are visiting for the weekend, Sala has a wide range of restaurants, pubs and nightclubs with great food and service to choose from.

Sala has an excellent geographic location, no matter which direction you look. Within 1.5 hours, you can be in Stockholm, Örebro, Falun or any number of other cities. In fact, it can even be faster to get from Sala to Stockholm Central station by train than it can to drive into the city from a Stockholm suburb. Many Stockholmers have already realized this, taken action and moved here. With the much more affordable housing, comparable commute to work and off-hours without stress, it’s a really wise choice.
