We’ll gather at the Edensgarden meeting point in Svartådalen early in the morning before the sun starts to rise. Then we’ll get into canoes and paddle slowly down the Svartån river to the kingdom of the beavers. At this time of the day, the nocturnal animals are eating their final meal, washing up and preparing for bed. Just as the diurnal animals are waking up. Early dawn is one of the most beautiful moments of the day. For nature lovers and nature photographers, the breaking dawn and the morning mists create perfect conditions. With a little luck, you will experience a parade of unique moments in nature in the Svartådalen beaver kingdom. Once the sun comes up, we’ll paddle back to base camp, where you’ll be offered a delicious and hearty breakfast prepared over an open fire. While you eat, you’ll get to hear stories about the beavers’ lives and habitats. Beavers came to Sweden from England nearly a century ago and are a keystone species – vital for both our freshwater lakes and watercourses and for our climate system!

Included: The tour is about 3–4 hours long, including breakfast. The tour includes parking at base camp, canoe, paddles, life vests and seat cushions. Breakfast prepared over an open fire. Guided canoe tour through the beaver kingdom.

We cannot guarantee that you’ll see beavers – it is nature that decides that. If possible, your guide will take pictures and then send the pictures to you the day after the tour. If you’ve booked our guided tour, you are welcome to park your RV/caravan or pitch a tent on our property. 2-10 participants. Reservations are binding. No prior canoeing knowledge is necessary.
