Welcome to the Gysinge Vandrarhem, a hostel close to nature and offering many opportunities for recreation and new experiences. Located on the second floor of Gysingehemmet, the hostel has nine newly renovated, cozy rooms, with a shared kitchen, living room, toilets and showers. Our lush garden also has a barbecue area and outdoor seating. This is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy hiking, bicycling and nature, or if you want to explore the old ironworks area or just take it easy. The Gästrikeleden hiking trail is just around the corner, and through the trees you can see the Dalälven river. You can take a short walk through the forest to see the majestic, former railway bridges that span the Lower Dalälven River. The hostel is also close to the Gysinge Nature Reserve and Färnebofjärden National Park, with its famous eagle-viewing station. Next to the hostel are the Galleri Blå art gallery, the Loppis & Antikt antique store, and the Gysinge Brewery, which offers beer tastings. Just a five-minute walk away, near the Gysinge Hergård manor house, you’ll find an old-fashioned store and gift shop, a café and restaurant, a conference center offering courses, and sometimes markets, food events, entertainment and art exhibitions. The hostel is open all year!
